Structure and working principle of double-drum dryer

The binocular dryer, also called the double cylinder dryer or the double-drum dryer, is transformed from the monocular dryer that owns many advantages like simple operation and high efficiency. The monocular dryer is widely used to dry slag, clay and coal by the cement production enterprises.

Double-Drum Dryer

The traditional double-drum dryer also has several disadvantages. For example, the single drum of the dryer is too long and contacts the land too often, leading to much thermal loss. All the trouble can be perfectly solved by the binocular dryer and the three-drum dryer.

The binocular dryer is transformed from the monocular dryer by shrinking the size and the heat radiating area and lowering the surface temperature of the outer cylinder, which makes the most use of the extra heat energy, increases the drying efficiency and saves much operating cost of the dryer.

The binocular dryer and the three-cylinder drying machine are both made by multiple overlaying sleeves. During the working process of the double-drum dryer, the hot air or the thermal current passes successively through the internal, middle and external layers of the dryer, and then is emitted out of the dryer. In this way, the double-drum dryer can make better use of the thermal energy, thus saving fuel and improving the drying efficiency.
